  • Cordance Corporation is the original innovator of XRI technology, co-chair of the OASIS XRI and XDI Technical Committees, and a contractor to XDI.org for operation of the XDI.org Global Registry Services (GRS) for XRI i-names and i-numbers.
  • Neustar(NYSE: NSR), operator of the i-name global registry as a subcontractor to Cordance, is a provider of essential clearinghouse services to the North American communications industry and Internet service providers around the world.

  • OpenID is an open, decentralized, free framework for user-centric digital identity. XRI i-names and i-numbers are one of the kind of identifier you can use with OpenID 2.0.
  • Higgins This project is developing an extensible, platform-independent, identity protocol-independent, software framework to support existing and new applications that give users more convenience, privacy and control over their identity information. The Mission is to improve interoperability, privacy, and security as well as empower users with more control over their personal information.
  • OSIS Source Identity System brings together many identity-related open-source projects, and synchronizes and harmonizes the construction of an interoperable identity layer for the internet from open-source parts.

Socio-Technical Communities

  • Identity CommonsThe purpose of Identity Commons is to support, facilitate, and promote the creation of an open identity layer for the Internet, one that maximizes control, convenience, and privacy for the individual while encouraging the development of healthy, interoperable communities. Many people in the XRI/i-names community participate in working groups of Identity Commons.
  • Internet Identity Workshop This is one of the main places where the XRI/i-names community gathers face-to-face to work together alongside other user-centric identity and data sharing efforts. IIW is a working group of Identity Commons.
  • Identity Gang This mailing list is the heart of the user-centric identity community. If you would like to be added make a request to Kaliya or Phil Windley.
